About Dental Insurance... it is meant to HELP pay for your dental needs and NOT to pay for all dental treatment. The method most insurance carriers use to determine a "usual & customary fee" is by doing a survey of a geographic area, finding the average fee, and taking 90% of that fee. The benefits you receive are determined by the plan your employer negotiated with the insurance carrier. Some insurance companies have an "open plan" and an "in-network" plan. The "open plan" gives you the freedom of choice to see any dentist you wish and the "in-network" plan restricts you to the dentists that are contracted with that company. We can help you understand your dental plan, but please know that payment for any services we provide is your responsibility. You will always be made aware of our fees before treatment is rendered. Wells Fargo and Dental Fee Plan are great tools that allow our patients the option of paying for treatment over an extended period of time (ie. 6 months to 60 months). |
